Welcome to another exciting Hearthstone Battlegrounds video! In this video, we’re diving deep into the new Season 7 and the highly anticipated Patch 29.6. There’s a lot to cover, including the return of Buddies, their debut in Battlegrounds Duos, and a host of changes that will shake up the meta!
What’s a Buddy?
Buddies are powerful minions assigned to each Hero, uniquely tied to their Hero Power. Unlike regular minions, Buddies don’t appear in the general minion pool. As you progress through the match, you can get copies of your Buddy to bolster your Warband and dominate your opponents.
How to Get Your Buddy
Each hero has a Buddy Button that you can press to summon their Buddy. The initial cost of the Buddy Button depends on the Tavern Tier of your Buddy and decreases by 3 Gold for each win or tie and by 2 Gold for each loss. You can press the Buddy Button twice per game. The first press gives you one Buddy, and the second press gives you two, with a slight cost increase on the reset.
New and Updated Buddies
Patch 29.6 not only brings back Buddies but also introduces new ones and updates the existing ones. This patch is packed with changes to the minion pool, both old and new, making the gameplay more dynamic and strategic.
Extended Turn Timers in Duos
Since Buddies are making their first appearance in Battlegrounds Duos, we’re getting an additional 10 seconds on all turn-timers in Duos to help everyone get accustomed to the new mechanics.
In this video, I’ll go through the patch notes and analyze all the changes. I’ll share my thoughts on how each new Buddy, minion, and the updates to existing Buddies and minions will impact the meta and the current state of Season 7 Battlegrounds. Patch 29.6 is shaping up to be a lot of fun, and I can’t wait to dive into it!
